Saying Goodbye to My Biggest Fan

Lorraine Marren. Photo taken in the early 1950s.
My grandmother, Lorraine Marren, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd.  I was very close to her and we spoke often on the phone.
She loved hearing about all the "exciting things" I was doing, and she was very proud of me.  My Nana (as I called her) enjoyed hearing about even the tiniest details of my career.  She'd sit down and watch an entire TV show just to try to see me in the background as an extra.  And she'd brag to all her friends about it, too!
My Nana wasn't a big traveler, so she never saw me live in a play, but she enjoyed watching videos and seeing photographs.  Going through her drawers with my mother, I found tons of newspaper clippings of shows I had been in as a teenager.   How amazing!
I will always be grateful to my grandmother for all of her love and support. And I'll keep on making her proud throughout my continued journey as an actress.

In memoriam, here my cover of the song, "Oh Sweet Lorraine" by Fred Stobaugh.  The song itself has a remarkable story, which you can learn about here.
Rest in Peace, Nana.  I will miss you.
